    Purposes of data collection and disclosure to third parties

    4.  BSM may ask visitors of this website to provide personal data (like name, e-mail telephone, etc.) and data on their company on a voluntary basis.

    5.  BSM will store, use and process such data only in order:

    • to process and respond to customers' and visitors’ requests,
    • to inform customers, prospective customers and other visitors about LyondellBasell, its products, services and businesses, including through newsletters, press releases and other email communications
    • to process the transactions carried out in its sub-sites Connect, Transport Marketplace and Sales Marketplace.

    BSM’s use of personal data has been provided to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (College bescherming persoonsgegevens).

    Disclosure of data to third parties

    6.  BSM may disclose personal data provided by customers to other companies of the LyondellBasell group of companies or agents or external service providers which participate in some of the activities identified under Point 5. For this purpose, LyondellBasell may need to transfer personal data to companies of the LyondellBasell group outside the European Union, also to countries, such as the U.S., which do not ensure an adequate level of protection within the meaning of Article 25 (2) of the Directive 95/46/EC of the European Union.  Before doing so, BSM shall ensure that such companies have undertaken to treat such data provided from BPC in Europe in compliance with the provisions of Directive 95/46/EC. Personal data provided by the customers will never be voluntarily communicated to any other third party (unless this is required by law or court order).

    Visitors' rights concerning their personal data

    7.  Visitors have the right to request to BSM whether it is currently holding and processing any of their personal data and have them corrected if they are inaccurate. Visitors also have the right to object to the processing of their personal data for the purposes of direct marketing and to request free of charge that such activities are discontinued.
