Further strengthening global PP compounding strategy
With the completion of the acquisition of Solvay Engineered Polymers, a leading supplier of polypropylene compounds in North America, LyondellBasell has taken a significant step forward in the development of its global polypropylene compounding strategy.
“The acquisition of Solvay Engineered Polymers clearly demonstrates our commitment to support our automotive OEM and Tier I customers with high performance products and innovative solutions,” said Paul Yeates, Senior Vice President of LyondellBasell’s Advanced Polyolefins Business. “The integration of the two businesses will provide our customers with a broader product portfolio and expanded customer support and application capabilities.”
The combined North American business will be headed by Steve Dwyer, Vice President of LyondellBasell’s Automotive Americas.
