Blow-fill-seal (BFS)(or bottlepack® BFS systems) is an extrusion blow molding process used in the production of packaging applications.
Benefits and Applications
BFS is primarily used in the production of pharmaceutical packaging, such as bottles for opthalmic solutions. The conversion technology is unique, as it enables the formation of the package, and the filling of the container, all in the same equipment - and under aseptic conditions. The BFS process can be used in a clean room environment. Customers use LyondellBasell’s Purell polypropylene and polyethylene resins in these applications. You can find more info about BFS at www.rommelag.com
More information about our wide range of Equistar products available for BFS can be found on our corporate site, where you may also login to customerXPRESS to purchase products or obtain account information.
